Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Ceylon Explora. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the services we provide. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Bookings and Payments

  • Reservation: All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. A booking is considered confirmed only after you receive a written confirmation from Ceylon Explora.
  • Payment: A deposit (as specified for each package) is required at the time of booking. Full payment must be received by the due date specified in your booking confirmation, typically 30-60 days prior to departure. Failure to make timely payments may result in cancellation of your booking.
  • Pricing: All prices are quoted in USD unless otherwise specified and are subject to change without prior notice due to currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, or other unforeseen circumstances.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellation by Client: Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Cancellation charges will apply based on the notice period given prior to the tour start date:
    • More than 60 days: 10% of total package cost.
    • 31-60 days: 25% of total package cost.
    • 15-30 days: 50% of total package cost.
    • Less than 15 days or No Show: 100% of total package cost.
  • Cancellation by Ceylon Explora: We reserve the right to cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, political instability). In such cases, a full refund will be provided, or an alternative tour of similar value will be offered.
  • Refunds: Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 30 days of the cancellation request.

4. Travel Insurance

It is highly recommended that all travelers obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations, lost luggage, and other unforeseen events. Ceylon Explora will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury incurred during your trip.

5. Passports and Visas

It is the sole responsibility of the traveler to ensure that they possess a valid passport with sufficient validity (usually 6 months beyond the return date) and all necessary visas, permits, and health certificates for entry into Sri Lanka and any transit countries. Ceylon Explora is not responsible for any issues arising from incorrect or insufficient travel documentation.

6. Health and Safety

Travelers are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit for their chosen itinerary. We advise consulting a doctor regarding necessary vaccinations and precautions. While Ceylon Explora prioritizes your safety, participation in certain activities may involve inherent risks.

7. Limitation of Liability

Ceylon Explora acts only as an agent for the various suppliers of services (e.g., airlines, hotels, transport companies). We are not liable for any loss, damage, injury, delay, or inconvenience caused by these suppliers or by natural disasters, acts of government, or any other events beyond our control. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the tour package.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

9. Amendments to Terms

Ceylon Explora reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The updated terms will be effective upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.
