Mitsubishi Rosa (Mini Bus)

The Mitsubishi Rosa is one of the most common mini buses used for group tourism in Sri Lanka, listed by Van Hire Sri Lanka, Lanka Holidays, MySL Travel, Bus Hire Sri Lanka, and SL RIDE among others. The standard configuration seats 22 passengers with 3 additional jump seats (25 maximum). An extended 28-seat body is also available for larger groups.

Touring configurations typically include multi-zone AC, under-carriage luggage storage, reclining seats, tinted windows, and TV or DVD for long runs. Luggage space under the vehicle holds bags that do not fit inside, making the Rosa more practical for full-group luggage than the KDH HiAce which relies entirely on a roof rack.

The Rosa handles Sri Lanka's main tourist corridors well: Colombo to Kandy, the Southern Expressway to Galle, and the Dambulla to Sigiriya route. On tighter hill country roads (Ella approaches, Nuwara Eliya town centre), the turning radius can be challenging. For hill country stages that involve narrow roads, plan to transfer to smaller vehicles for those sections. Pricing starts from around USD 100 per day with a 120 km daily allowance.
