Toyota Voxy / Noah

The Toyota Voxy and Noah (R80 generation, 2014 onwards) are sister vehicles from Japan's domestic market, imported to Sri Lanka in large numbers as used vehicles and actively listed by hire operators. Van Hire Sri Lanka, Casons, Lanka Holidays, and Lanka Rent a Car all offer them. Rofi.lk specifically recommends the Voxy for families needing 7 seats. This is the standard 7-seat family transfer vehicle in Sri Lanka's hire fleet.

Power sliding doors make boarding and exiting much easier than a conventionally doored MPV, which matters at temples, small car parks, and restaurants on a busy day. The 2.0L petrol or 1.8L hybrid engine is smooth and quiet. Seven seats in a 2+3+2 layout, the 3rd row folds flat to open 500 L of cargo space. With all 7 seated, only small bags fit behind the rear row (160 L). With 5 passengers and the 3rd row folded, 3 standard suitcases fit comfortably.

Ground clearance is 155 mm, adequate for all sealed tourist routes including hill country roads. Not suitable for safari tracks or unpaved village roads. For any family itinerary that needs 7 seats without the size and cost of a KDH van, the Voxy is the correct vehicle.
