Circuit Sri Lanka en 5 jours : Triangle culturel et Kandy express
Le grand classique du Sri Lanka en cinq jours : la forteresse rocheuse de 200 mètres à Sigiriya, le temple de la Dent sacrée à Kandy, et un coucher de soleil sur Galle Face Green avant le vol retour.Le séjour le plus court qui garde malgré tout l'esprit du Sri Lanka. Deux nuits à Sigiriya suffisent pour la forteresse rocheuse de 200 mètres et les grottes peintes de Dambulla, sans précipiter ni l'une ni l'autre, avec un safari aux éléphants en option à Minneriya. Kandy ajoute le temple de la Dent sacrée et sa cérémonie du soir, la puja. La dernière nuit se passe à Colombo : coucher de soleil sur Galle Face Green, puis trente minutes de route jusqu'à l'aéroport.

Jour 1 : L'avion atterrit à Colombo, puis la route file vers le nord jusqu'à Sigiriya, environ 4 heures via Kurunegala et Dambulla, avec un arrêt déjeuner en chemin.

Sigiriya, à votre rythme
Jour 2 : Mieux vaut grimper la citadelle rocheuse de 200 mètres de Sigiriya avant la chaleur de midi, puis visiter le temple des grottes de Dambulla, cinq grottes creusées dans la falaise il y a 2 000 ans et couvertes de peintures et statues bouddhiques. Un safari en option l'après-midi à Minneriya ou Kaudulla National Park peut révéler des troupeaux de plus de 100 éléphants pendant le Gathering, la saison sèche de juillet à octobre, avec des groupes familiaux plus petits le reste de l'année ; ou remplacez-le par une excursion aux ruines de Polonnaruwa, du XIIe siècle.
Kandy
Jour 3 : Kandy, la capitale des collines qui garde la relique la plus sacrée du bouddhisme depuis le XVIe siècle, se trouve à environ 2,5 heures via Matale. L'après-midi est consacré au temple de la Dent sacrée et le lac de Kandy, puis la puja du soir, une cérémonie de tambours et d'offrandes donnée trois fois par jour.

Temple of the Tooth Relic
Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy houses a tooth relic of the Buddha and has been the most sacred Buddhist site in Sri Lanka since the 4th century AD.

Colombo
Jour 4 : La matinée commence au jardin botanique de Peradeniya, dessiné en 1843, avant la descente vers Colombo à travers les plantations d'hévéa et d'épices de Kegalle, environ 3,5 heures. Le coucher de soleil appartient à Galle Face Green, la promenade du front de mer de la capitale, avec ses adeptes du cerf-volant et ses vendeurs de rue.
