Circuit Sri Lanka en 7 jours : Semaine en famille
Sept jours qu'un enfant de 6 ans peut apprécier : Sigiriya gravi tôt dans la fraîcheur, un safari aux éléphants, la cérémonie des tambours à Kandy et l'eau peu profonde de Bentota pour finir.Une première semaine à Sri Lanka construite autour de l'endurance des enfants, pas d'une liste à cocher. Negombo absorbe le jour d'arrivée, avec la plage et un coucher tôt. Sigiriya bénéficie de deux nuits, pour que l'ascension des 1 200 marches se fasse à tête reposée dans la fraîcheur du matin et qu'un safari en jeep l'après-midi à Kaudulla ou Minneriya trouve sa place sans précipitation. Kandy apporte la cérémonie de tambours du soir au temple de la Dent sacrée, une nuit à Colombo coupe la route vers la côte, et le voyage se termine dans l'eau peu profonde et calme de Bentota.

Jour 1 : Atterrissage et 30 à 45 minutes de route vers Negombo, une ville de pêcheurs près de l'aéroport. Une baignade, un dîner tôt, au lit ; la vraie route commence demain, une fois tout le monde reposé.

Sigiriya
Jour 2 : Direction le nord vers Sigiriya, la forteresse rocheuse du 5e siècle, environ 3 h 30, coupées par un vrai arrêt déjeuner. L'après-midi est consacré à la piscine de l'hôtel ; les enfants voyagent mieux quand le premier jour dans un nouveau lieu ne leur demande rien.

Sigiriya, à votre rythme
Jour 3 : Montée à Sigiriya avant 8 h, pendant que les marches sont fraîches et le site calme ; les enfants gèrent bien mieux les 1 200 marches avant que la chaleur monte. Un safari en jeep l'après-midi suit au parc national de Kaudulla ou Minneriya, avec des éléphants fiables toute l'année et le célèbre Gathering au plus fort de juillet à octobre.
Kandy
Jour 4 : Kandy se trouve à environ 2 h 30, via le pays des épices autour de Matale. La marche autour du lac occupe la fin d'après-midi, puis la cérémonie de tambours du soir au temple de la Dent sacrée, qui commence vers 18 h 30 et retient l'attention des enfants mieux qu'aucun musée.

Temple of the Tooth Relic

Bentota
Jour 6 : Un court trajet d'une heure et demie sur l'autoroute jusqu'à Bentota, puis une journée complète de plage : une balade en bateau le matin dans les mangroves du Madu Ganga, où des varans se prélassent au soleil sur les berges, et l'écloserie de tortues de Kosgoda, où les œufs sont incubés et les jeunes tortues relâchées à la mer en quelques jours.
