Circuit Sri Lanka en 8 jours : Voyage en famille, les temps forts
Un rythme pensé pour les enfants : trajets courts, éléphants à Pinnawala et Minneriya, une forteresse rocheuse digne d'un roman d'aventures, et une mer calme à Bentota.Un voyage en famille sans journée marathon en voiture. La première nuit se passe à Negombo, près de l'aéroport, puis deux nuits à Sigiriya laissent le temps de monter à la forteresse et de faire un safari aux éléphants au rythme des enfants. Kandy et Colombo s'enchaînent en étapes courtes, avec l'orphelinat des éléphants de Pinnawala sur la route entre les deux. Les deux derniers jours reviennent à l'eau calme et peu profonde de Bentota.

Le voyage, jour par jour
Negombo
Jour 1 : Atterrissage, puis vingt minutes de route jusqu'à Negombo. Les enfants récupèrent du vol au bord de la piscine ; le marché aux poissons au bord de la lagune offre une courte sortie en tuk-tuk pleine de couleurs, si l'énergie le permet.

Sigiriya, à votre rythme
Jour 3 : Montez à la forteresse tôt le matin ; les enfants grimpent les 1 200 marches bien plus facilement avant la chaleur, et les pattes de lion au sommet rendent l'histoire concrète. L'après-midi, safari en jeep à Kaudulla, le meilleur choix pour voir des éléphants à cette période : le grand rassemblement de la saison sèche à Minneriya (environ de juillet à octobre) s'est en général dispersé d'ici l'hiver.
Kandy
Jour 4 : Direction Kandy via Matale, environ 2,5 heures. La cérémonie des tambours, le soir, au temple de la Dent sacrée retient l'attention des enfants mieux qu'aucun musée.

Temple of the Tooth Relic
Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy houses a tooth relic of the Buddha and has been the most sacred Buddhist site in Sri Lanka since the 4th century AD.
Udawattakele Forest Reserve

Jour 7 : Balade en bateau sur la rivière : tunnels de mangrove, martins-pêcheurs, varans. Ensuite, l'écloserie de tortues de Kosgoda, où les nouveau-nés sont relâchés en mer après la tombée de la nuit.
Vol retour
Jour 8 : Dernière baignade le matin, puis environ 2,5 heures de route jusqu'à l'aéroport.
