Sri Lanka Itinerary: 8 Days - Hill Country and Wildlife Classic

One extra day turns the classic loop into a hill-country trip. The Sigiriya and Kandy stages stay, but from Nuwara Eliya you board the train at Nanu Oya for the ride to Ella, the ride to Ella climbing past Pattipola, the highest point on Sri Lanka's rail network, while your car follows with the luggage. Two Ella nights cover the Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam's Peak. Udawalawe's elephants and Galle Fort complete the descent to the coast.
